Refer a Friend Programme Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to TalkTalk’s Refer a Friend Programme (“Promotion”) and are between TalkTalk Telecom Limited (“Us”/”We”/”TalkTalk”); the referring TalkTalk customer (the “Referrer”) and the new referred customer that is joining TalkTalk using this Promotion (the “Friend”).
1. Eligible Referrers and Friends:
a. The Referrer - Only customers that have received the email directly from TalkTalk to refer their friends are eligible to participate in this Promotion and earn rewards for referring their Friends.
b. The Friend – Only individuals that are not already an existing TalkTalk customer are eligible for this Promotion. The Friend must have signed up to the Refer a Friend portal prior to placing their new broadband order. If the Friend was previously a TalkTalk customer, they must use a different email address to register for both the Refer a Friend programme and when purchasing their TalkTalk package. If the same address that was previously used to purchase TalkTalk products is used again by the Friend, neither the Referrer nor the Friend will be eligible for any rewards as part of this Promotion.
2. How to register for the Promotion
a. Referrers can join the Promotion by; completing their details on the Refer a Friend portal which can be accessed via MyAccount;
b. signing up to the Refer a Friend programme by speaking to a TalkTalk agent; or
c. following TalkTalk’s instruction if they are invited to join the Promotion via an email.
d. Once a Referrer has joined the Promotion, the Referrer must share their unique link from the Email or from their personal Refer a Friend dashboard (“Refer a Friend Link”) with the Friend(s). The Referrer and the Friend both agree to the Platform Terms and Conditions and the Promotion Terms and Conditions.
The Referrer must also use the same email address that they received their link to when registering. If the Referrer uses any other email address or misspells their email address, they will not be eligible for this Promotion.
a. The Friend must use the Refer a Friend Link to register their details on the Refer a Friend portal and follow the instructions provided on screen.
The Friend will also receive an email with a link to the TalkTalk broadband webpage.
b. Once registered the Friend must:
i. purchase an eligible TalkTalk broadband package in accordance with these terms and conditions, the TalkTalk Customer Terms and Conditions and using the same email address that they registered with on the Refer a Friend Link;
ii. have their TalkTalk broadband package connected and live for at least 60 consecutive days;
iii. and pay their first TalkTalk broadband bill in full and on time.
3. Eligible broadband plans with the referral system
a. Any broadband plan that is purchased directly from TalkTalk in accordance with these terms and conditions will be eligible for this Promotion.
b. Any broadband plan purchased from an affiliate website, including any price comparison or discount website etc, will not be eligible for this Promotion.
c. The Refer a Friend gift card is only available to new customers taking a TalkTalk broadband plan, and existing customers or TalkTalk employees who successfully refer a Friend, using the TalkTalk Refer a Friend programme and unique link as set out in these terms and conditions.
d. TalkTalk broadband services are subject to local availability.
e. New customers orders may be rejected under certain circumstances such as failing a credit check.
f. Customers must agree and adhere to the TalkTalk Customer Terms and Conditions, which will be presented within the order journey.
g. TalkTalk has the right to suspend, restrict or disconnect customers, which may result in a gift card not being issued.
4. Gift card issue and redemption conditions
a. Once a Friend has purchased a TalkTalk broadband package and complied with the Promotion rules in accordance with these terms and conditions, both the Friend and the Referrer will receive a confirmation email from TalkTalk and an email from Giftcloud (no-reply@giftcloud.com) containing instructions for a £50 gift card. Only one email will be sent, so if it is deleted or lost, no other email will be sent in its place.
b. In order to receive this gift card, the Referrer must still be an active TalkTalk customer or employee of TalkTalk throughout the period from when the initial email was sent to the Referrer from TalkTalk through to when the gift card is issued. If the Referrer, leaves TalkTalk during that time, there will be no gift card issued to them.
c. Cancelled orders will not be eligible for a gift card.
d. The gift cards are issued by Giftcloud via email from GiftCloud (no-reply@giftcloud.com). By registering for the Refer a Friend programme the Referrer and the Friend (together “you” or “your”) consent to your registered email address being shared with them and the Refer a Friend platform provider Buyapowa (or any other replacement provider).
e. Gift cards must be redeemed within 150 days.

g. Gift cards should be kept secure. They cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.
h. The Friend and the Referrer must comply with any instructions, terms and conditions set out in any of the emails sent by TalkTalk, Giftcloud or any other party authorised by TalkTalk.

5. TalkTalk Refer a Friend order tracking
a. The Referrer must use the same email address when using the Refer a Friend portal to create their sharable link as is used on their current TalkTalk account registration, and the Friend must use the same email address when registering on the Refer a Friend portal as they will use to create their new TalkTalk account.
b. If a different email address is used then TalkTalk will be unable to automatically match the referral to either party and the new broadband order and will be unable to issue the gift cards to either party.
6. Right to withdraw the offer
a. TalkTalk holds the right to withdraw this offer if TalkTalk believes that the terms of the offer are being abused in any way.
b. TalkTalk has the right to withdraw or modify the offer at any time, without notification.
7. Other Terms
a. The parties agree that this Promotion and these terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
8. Data:
a. By registering for this Promotion you agree to TalkTalk’s privacy policy outlined here: www.talktalk.co.uk/legal/privacy-policy/. You consent to the processing of your personal data by TalkTalk for the operation of the Promotion and as otherwise provided for pursuant to these terms and conditions.
b. You agree that TalkTalk can share your email address and name with our delivery partners Buyapowa and GiftCloud for the purposes of updating you on this Promotion and issuing you with a gift card. No other marketing emails will be sent to you from these delivery partners.
c. TalkTalk will use the personal information and contact details provided by you for administering the Promotion and to ensure compliance with these terms and conditions. In order to understand how you use the Promotion, we may collect IP addresses.
